Connecting QuickBooks Online is one of the first things you should do after logging into Aqqrue.
It gives Aqqrue the accounting context it needs to help you with bookkeeping, month-end close, cleanups, and other workflows.
Connecting your QuickBooks company
Navigate to Integrations and click QuickBooks.
You'll be redirected to Intuit, where you can sign in and authorize Aqqrue to access your QuickBooks company.
Note: You must be either the Primary Admin or a Company Admin in QuickBooks Online to authorize the connection.
Once you've granted access, you'll be redirected back to Aqqrue.
Choose how much history to import
After connecting, you'll be asked to choose how much historical transaction data you'd like to import.
You can import anything from the past month to several years of history.
In general, we recommend importing as much history as practical. 12 months is a good start. More historical data gives Aqqrue better context and unlocks workflows like cleanups, catch-up bookkeeping, historical analysis, and transaction investigations.
What gets imported?
Once the import is complete, your QuickBooks data becomes available throughout Aqqrue.
This includes your transactions such as bills, invoices, expenses, journal entries, deposits, and payments, as well as your accounting masters like the Chart of Accounts, customers, vendors, items, classes, and employees.
You'll find your transactions under Records, where they're organized using the same terminology you're already familiar with from QuickBooks Online.
A two-way integration
The QuickBooks integration is fully two-way.
Aqqrue imports data from QuickBooks so it understands your books, and it can also create or update records in QuickBooks when you're ready.
For example, you can prepare bills, deposits, journal entries, and many other accounting records inside Aqqrue, review them, and then export them directly to QuickBooks Online.
QuickBooks remains your system of record, while Aqqrue becomes your AI workspace for getting the work done.
What's next?
Now that QuickBooks is connected, you're ready to start using Aqqrue with your accounting data.
In future guides, we'll show you how to use this integration for workflows like cleanups, catch-up bookkeeping, transaction reviews, and reclassifications.
