Creating Tasks
One of the biggest advantages of Aqqrue is that you don't have to explain the same workflow over and over again.
If you perform a process every week or every month, you can turn it into a Task. A Task captures your firm's process as an SOP, allowing Aqqrue to follow the same instructions every time it runs.
Two ways to create a Task
There are two ways to build Tasks in Aqqrue.
Do the work first
The most common approach is to complete the work once using Get Work Done.
For example, you might process a Ramp statement, create bills from vendor invoices, or prepare a payroll journal entry.
Once you're happy with the result, click the ⚡ Create Task button. Aqqrue uses the conversation to generate a reusable SOP that you can run again in the future.
Plan the Task first
If you already know the workflow you want, switch to Plan Repeatable Tasks.
Instead of creating accounting entries, Aqqrue focuses on designing the SOP itself.
This is useful for processes like month-end reviews, client onboarding, or recurring cleanup procedures. Both approaches produce the same result - a reusable Task.
Choose whichever matches the way you like to work and you can even upload your own SOPs to Aqqrue and have a conversation with it.
Refining your SOP
When Aqqrue creates a Task, it doesn't simply save your prompt.
Instead, it generates a detailed SOP based on your conversation, your QuickBooks data, and the work it has just completed. Review the draft and add any firm-specific instructions.
For example, you might tell Aqqrue to:
Check for duplicate vendors during every monthly review.
Flag transactions without a payee.
Ensure all revenue transactions have a class assigned.
Ask for approval whenever it encounters a new vendor.
The more guidance you provide, the more closely the Task reflects the way your firm works.
Handling exceptions
Accounting workflows are rarely identical every time. As Aqqrue builds a Task, it may ask questions about situations it isn't certain about.
For example:
Where should vendor bills be retrieved from?
Should new bills be created in Review or Ready?
How should new vendors be handled?
Should card payments be recorded automatically or only expenses?
Your answers become part of the SOP, allowing Aqqrue to handle similar situations consistently in the future.
Tasks improve over time
Tasks aren't static.
As your processes evolve, you can continue chatting with Aqqrue to refine the SOP, add new rules, or update existing ones.
Over time, your Tasks become a living knowledge base that captures how your firm works - not just for you, but for your entire team.
What's next?
Now that you've learned how to create Tasks, you're ready to build a library of repeatable workflows for each client. Once a Task has been created, anyone on your team can run it, review the results, and export the work to QuickBooks in just a few clicks.
