Review Your Books with AI

Identify issues in your books, generate a workpaper, and fix problems without leaving Aqqrue.

Reviewing the books is an important part of every month-end close and cleanup engagement.

With Aqqrue, you can automate much of that review process. Instead of manually working through checklists, Aqqrue analyzes your QuickBooks data, identifies potential issues, and prepares a workpaper for you to review.

Run your review Task

Open the Task Checklist and run your review Task. For example, you might have a Task called Monthly Senior Books Review and Cleanup.

When the Task starts, Aqqrue may ask a few questions, such as which accounting period to review or how you'd like materiality to be determined.

Once it has the information it needs, Aqqrue begins reviewing your books.

Review the workpaper

When the review is complete, Aqqrue generates a workpaper summarizing everything it found.

Depending on your firm's review checklist, this could include:

  • Missing class assignments

  • Missing supporting documents

  • Missing daily sales entries

  • Transactions that need investigation

  • Other exceptions defined in your review Task

Each finding includes enough detail for you to understand the issue and decide what to do next.

You can also download the workpaper if you'd like to share it with your team or keep it as part of your engagement documentation.

Fix issues directly from the workpaper

One of the biggest advantages of reviewing your books in Aqqrue is that you can move directly from identifying an issue to fixing it.

For example, if Aqqrue finds revenue transactions without a class assigned, you can simply ask: Assign the [Class name] class to all February revenue transactions.

Or, if it identifies missing journal entries or supporting documents, you can continue the conversation and ask Aqqrue to investigate or resolve those issues.

There's no need to leave the conversation or start over.

Review before exporting

As with every workflow in Aqqrue, changes are prepared for your review before they're sent to QuickBooks.

Once you've verified the updates, approve them and export them to QuickBooks.

Aqqrue updates the existing transactions - it doesn't create duplicates.
