Create and Edit QuickBooks Masters in Aqqrue

Learn how to create or edit master records in Aqqrue and sync the changes to QuickBooks Online.

Written by Simon • Your Aqqrue Sherpa

Aqqrue can now create and edit three types of QuickBooks masters:

  • Chart of accounts

  • Vendors

  • Customers

This is particularly useful when setting up a new client or completing a cleanup that requires several master records to be created or updated.

Create or edit a master

Tell Aqqrue what you want to create or change.

For example: Create a vendor called Aqqrue Restaurant, Inc.

Aqqrue will create the vendor and display it for your review. The same workflow can be used to edit an existing account, vendor, or customer.

(New release) Mark a master inactive

You can also ask Aqqrue to mark a master (vendor, customer, account) inactive and sync the change to QuickBooks. This is especially helpful when cleaning up a client’s chart of accounts.

For example: Mark the Old Checking Account as inactive.

If you deactivate a master by mistake, ask Aqqrue to make it active again and export the change back to QuickBooks.

Export the change to QuickBooks

New and edited records are not automatically synced to QuickBooks.

After reviewing the record:

  1. Click Export to sync it to QuickBooks Online.

  2. Once exported, the button will change to Open.

  3. Click Open to view the record directly in QuickBooks.

Current limitations

Marking records as inactive and merging accounts, vendors, or customers are not currently supported. Support for these actions is on our roadmap. Please let us know if creating other masters such as classes or items would be helpful for your firm.
